Mission Statement

Our mission is to nourish a respect for life in our parish by proclaiming that every human life is uniquely created in the image and likeness of God; that each person who receives God’s gift of life deserves respect from the time life begins at fertilization through the point of natural death; that during this life we have responsibilities toward God, self and others; and that as part of our greater community we must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence.

PRAYER REQUESTS

• A prayer of thanksgiving for the decision of the United States Supreme Court upholding the ban on Partial-birth abortion.  The law was initially enacted with the bi-partisan effort of Congress and only bans one type of late term abortion.  Please continue to pray for the end of all abortions.

• Continual prayer for the success of the Gabriel Project and for our volunteers.

• That the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which would eliminate all common sense abortion restrictions worked hard for by pro-life advocates and passed by State Legislatures across the country, will NOT be passed and made superceding federal law by the Congress.  ***IN ADDITION*** PLEASE PRAY THAT THE POLICIES OF FOCA WILL NOT BE MADE THE LAW OF THE LAND PIECE BY PIECE THROUGH OTHER LEGISLATION OR IN THE OBAMA HEALTH CARE REFORM PLAN.

• JULY INTENTION:  For a conversion of heart of our President, Congress, State representatives and for all Americans that they will recognize the dignity of every human life and protect it through the entire spectum of life - preborn through natural death.
