Welcome to a New School Year!!
As each of are trying to get back to a "school" routine please keep in mind that breakfast is the most important meal for a growing child.
These are just a few "quick grabbers" for all of us who are on the go.
Peanut Butter and Apple Sandwich: 2 slices of whole wheat bread/peanut butter/and apple slices.
Instant Oatmeal: add raisins and/or nuts.
Breakfast Smoothie: milk, fresh fruit added in a blender.
Bagel with cream cheese or melted cheese.
Waffles/Pancakes: served with fresh fruit or jam.
Cereal with fruit, raisins or nuts and add juice each morning and all of us are ready for a new day!!
For the filling,mix pineapple and dry pudding mix in medium bowl. Stir in whipped topping.
Cut angel food cake horizontally into three layers. Fill layers and top with filling. Top with mixed berries.
Chill 1 hour. Make 10 servings
Sweet Tortillas
4 (7-to 8-inch) flour tortillas 4 0z. low-fat cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup strawberry or other flavor spreadable fruit or preserves
1 medium banana, peeled and chopped
Spread each tortilla with 1 ounce cream cheese and 1 tablespoon spreadablee fruit/ top with 1/4 of the banana. Roll up tortilla/ cut crosswise into thirds. Makes 6 servings.
