Spanish Immersion is the fastest-growing and most effective language learning program nationwide for kids whose native language is not Spanish. Children are immersed in the target language 90% of the school day in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Instruction in English is slowly increased beginning in 2nd grade and by 5th grade instruction is 50% in English and 50% in Spanish. At that point, the children are fluent in both languages. They follow the same curriculum as all other Des Moines Diocesan Schools. Come see what all the excitement is about!
