PRE is through for the year. See you at Mass.
Children’s Liturgy is through until Fall.
Dear Friends of St. Anthony,
It’s hard to believe that another year is coming to a close for PRE. It’s been a very busy year with many blessings. Sunday morning class has been well attended. The addition of an opening has been successful and will probably continue next year with Cassie Baker as song leader. Cassie has worked with CYC for several years and will interject uplifting camp songs.
I was extremely proud of the children at our Crowning of Mary last Sunday. The children were well behaved and reverent. It’s been recommended that we do more Masses during PRE with the children next year and we will definitely consider it.
Summer is usually a time for rest and renewal. Being a second grade teacher I know that it is also an important time to continue skills and routines that could possibly be lost over the long time off. For all of the children of St. Anthony’s I hope that parents realize the importance of:
1. Attending Mass regularly so children begin to understand the lifetime commitment of being a Catholic.
2. Participating in church functions like Corpus Christi on May 18th at 4:00pm. Events such as these where children can interact with other Catholic children in social situations promote lifelong traditions.
3. Continuing to learn about our faith through this summer’s Totus Tuus. Registration forms went home with PRE this weekend and the school last Friday. First come first serve. Don’t miss out.
Please consider helping our program through teaching, co-teaching, substituting, and PRAYER.
