Welcome to St. Anthony Parish, serving Des Moines South Side since 1906. We began with a sizeable number of immigrant Italian families that settled on the south side of the river. We continue to be a diverse community serving the needs of individuals on the south side of Des Moines.
Inscribed above the front doors of the Church are the words ‘Go forth and teach all nations.’ For over 100 plus years those words from Christ have been lived out through many customs, traditions, and devotions practiced by the parishioners.
We have a beautiful Church… beautiful people… faith filled people.
