Meet Our Staff

A registered member of St. Anthony Parish since 1999, Mark is an Iowa State graduate and has been the Business Manager since 2008. Mark and his family have a long association with both the parish and school. He and his wife (St. Anthony graduate) were married at St. Anthony and both of their children attended St. Anthony’s School.

Fabiola graduated in 2010 as an Administrative Assistant in San Jose California she moved to Iowa in June of 2013. She completed the Diocese Lay  Leadership Program at University of St Mary of the Lake in 2020. Worked at Westrum Optometry for 9 years as a Insurance Specialist. Fabiola has been with us since May of 2023.

Zaira graduated from Urbandale High School in 2019. During the pandemic she started volunteering at St Anthony. She has been with us at the Parish Office since the Fall of 2021.

Marilu graduated from North High School and has been a member of our community for over 25 years. She completed the Latina Leadership Initiative (LLI) in 2017. Marilu has been with St. Anthony since 2012, where she has led our Hispanic community, developed our catechist program, and served as Director of Events and Promotions. Marilu and her three children, Marian (in college), Pablo (in high school), and 7-month-old Baby Thiago, enjoy coming to mass, visiting the Blessed Sacrament, and spending time together.

Diana was born in Mexico City and studied Tourism Business Administration at the Roosevelt Technological Institute. Diana, her husband Marco and her four sons have been members of our parish for 12 years. In 2014 god called her to serve him through the Ministry of Compassion. In 2015 she completed the Diocese Lay Leadership Program and graduated from the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. Diana has been very active in the parish by assisting the RCIA program, proclaiming the word of god at mass, and being an extraordinary Minister of the Holy Communion. In 2017 she was called to become a Catechist in our Religious Education Program, and for the last 2 years has been the Director of the Religious Education.

Lizeth has six children and one grandchild who she enjoys spending time with. She is also our Confirmation Director and has been working in our Religious Education programs for 15 years. She enjoys sharing the love of God with our students. “We can never stop learning about god, it is important to continue to seek him everyday in everyway.”

Hilda Ramos moved to Des Moines in 2006, and in 2019 she completed the Lay Leadership program at University of Saint Mary of the Lake’s. She also holds a certification in Rosary Workshop from the Instituto de Estudios Mariologicos de Monterrey. Hilda has been working at the parish office since 2020.

Carolina graduated from East High School in 2022. She is currently a second year student at the University of Iowa and has been at the Parish Office since June of 2023.

Cynthia graduated from East High School. She loves traveling and spending time with her husband and son. Cynthia just joined our Parish Office in September of 2023.

Silvia is an Iowa State graduate who has been an active member and lector of our Parish since 2011. She married Saul Ceballos in 2013 and is a mother of 3. All 3 of her children were baptized and attend St Anthony school. Silvia has served as our bulletin editor since 2022.
